My name is Katie Sampels(I don’t like my last name very much. Haha). I’m 17 and a Junior in High School and I live in Katy, Texas(Just west of Houston). I’m really crazy and outgoing, so get ready(: I LOVE music, I’ve been playing cello for 6 years, and just started on guitar, banjo and paino. God has deffinitly used music to speak to me, and for me to speak to him.
I was raised in a Christian family, but really only went to church because I had to. I started following the wrong path and pushing God away, but that didn’t stop him(: He came and took over my life last summer and has been doing some CRAZY things! I had been thinking about going on a mission trip for awhile, then about a month ago, God told me it was time. He led me to this website and this trip, and now he’s preparing me for this amazing journey!
I have never been on a mission trip so I am really nervous(But praying LOTS!) But I know that if God put on my heart to go on this trip, then he will make it all work out. Despite my nervousness, I’m SO SO SO excited to meet everyone and see what amazing things God is going to do on this trip!!
