I think it is easier for me to serve then to be served. I feel like when I am being served, I am being lazy. I can totally relate to what to Jessica said about wanting to do things herself and she was also right in saying that by letting people serve us when we are in need, we are helping them be Christ-like!

I sprained my ankle very badly last fall during a volleyball practice and was out for the rest of the season, it was awful. My family was so helpful though. They brought me ice packs and helped me around the house when the pain was really bad the first few days. In this case, I didn’t MIND being served but if I had been able to do it myself, I would have.
My dad had serious surgery on his back a couple years ago and I got the opportunity to serve him while he recovered. It drew us closer as a family and grew a bigger servants heart withen me! I am looking forward to Nicaragua and the opportunity to serve others 24/7!!! 😀
