Today's update will be shorter as I have less time to type. The girls are currently working on learning a drime (a wordless drama which illustrates the Gospel message, set to music) we will be able to use in Nicaragua - each girl is very focused and picking up the motions quickly. Though they have known each other in person for just barely 48 hours, there is a love and a bond between them that can only be from God. Our backgrounds and life stories are so different, but our God is so good! He is able to create a team for His glory. Rebekah and I are blessed and humbled to be leading these girls.

Our evening sessions have focused on the truth that we are the Beloved of God. Wednesday night we talked about that concept. Last night we talked about being chosen by God; about the love of God the Father in choosing to save us through the death of his only son. His ONLY SON. And He not only chose to save us but to place a call on our lives that brought us here in preparation for declaring HIS name to the world.  What kind of love we are shown, and what kind of response that should bring about in our lives! It was a time of being able to worship in thankfulness as a team.

Please pray:

  • for us to continue to grow closer to Christ, both together as a team and also as individuals.
  • for our energy levels to stay up during the long, active days here in Gainesville.
  • for homesickness to diminish and for us to stay focused on the present.
  • for resistance spiritually to the lies and fear that come against us.
  • for the hearts and lives of those we will meet and minister to in Nicaragua.
